NAACP Houston Legal Clinic-March 14

Dear TMSL Students,

Planning is underway for our LULAC Legal Clinic that will occur on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Ripley House! Several Organizations are co-sponsoring, including HLSA, NAACP Houston Legal Redress Clinic, the TMSL Institute for International & Immigration Law, FIEL (Familias Inmigrantes y Estudiantes en la Lucha), CRECEN, and several others that we are solidifying. Our volunteer coordinators & committee will be contacting you soon with information on how you can volunteer.

In the meantime, one of our co-sponsors, the NAACP Houston Legal Clinic will be hosting a free legal clinic in a majority-Latino neighborhood on Saturday, March 14, 2009 from 9 to 12 p.m. They need Spanish-speakers to help translate for the volunteer attorneys. It's a great experience for law students.

If you can spare 1-3 hours to help translate on this date, please email me at NeaveV@yahoo.com with your name, phone # and email address.

Have a great day!

Sincerely,
Victoria Neave, President
